2025 National Championships (Inter-High) Individual Competition Results

Thank you for your continued understanding and cooperation with the activities of the Yamamura International High School Boys’ Soft Tennis Club.

The National High School Athletic Meet, “Open the Door to the Future: Chugoku Inter-High School Athletic Meet 2025,” was held from Wednesday, July 23rd to Sunday, July 27th at the Ube City Central Park Tennis Courts in Ube City, Yamaguchi Prefecture.

Three pairs from our school participated:
Machida（2nd year） ・ Ishii（3rd year）
Matsumura（3rd year）・ Katayama（3rd year）
Nakamoto（2nd year） ・ Suda（2nd year）

The Machida-Ishii pair was eliminated in the second round.

The Matsumura-Katayama pair and the Nakamoto-Suda pair were eliminated in the first round.

From the very first match of the Inter-High, the high level of our opponents was evident, as evidenced by the precision of their serve receives.

This tournament will be the final for the third-year students, marking their permanent retirement. The first years will be practicing hard for the new team’s first tournament, the Rookie Tournament, and I hope the three second-year students, who have experience in the national tournament, will further boost the team’s morale. We will definitely compete in the individual competition at next year’s national tournament, and next time in the team competition! Thank you so much, third-year students!
