High School-University Collaboration Program: Toyo University Faculty of Information Studies Tour

On July 19th, we held a university tour of Toyo University’s Faculty of Informatics, with which we have a high school-university collaboration agreement.

This time, we also had a class taught by Professor Chieko Kato, Dean of the Faculty of Informatics, giving the students a chance to experience what it’s like to study at a university. Professor Kato’s class covered content that both humanities and science students could learn from, and she spoke about how the academic knowledge and skills learned at university will be put to use in the future, as well as the career paths of graduates.

After the class, we were given a tour of the Kawagoe campus, where we were able to see facilities such as the library, gymnasium, and cafeteria. We were also able to see club activities in action, making the tour a great way to get a real feel for the atmosphere of Toyo University.
