K-on Live Performance

On July 23rd (Sun), the light music club held a full-day live performance for the first time in four years! This competition is an official competition sponsored by the Saitama Prefecture Federation, and the bands that come in 1st and 2nd place in the final are given the right to advance to the national competition. It was also the last official match for the 3th graders. A total of 16 bands from 10 schools in the western district participated. This time, not a 3rd year, but an all-girls 4-member 2nd year band “Pentagon”participated.

Unfortunately, they did not win the prize or advance to the final, but it was impressive that they fully demonstrated the results of their daily practice and enjoyed their performance despite bad nerves! Especially in the past few years, the west district has been a fiercely competitive area, with high-ranking regular schools in prefectural official contests. The judges, who are music professionals and experts, and the teachers of the federation officials also commented, “Even though it’s a sophomore band, there was a sense of unity that was as good as that of a third-year band. I’m looking forward to seeing them in the future because all the parts were played with one heart.”
