Light Music Club: Final Report of the 13th Saitama Prefecture Light Music Newcomer Competition
On 24 December, 2025 by SasakiOn Sunday, December 21st, the Light Music Club’s second-year band, Rolly Polly, competed in the Saitama Prefectural High School Light Music Federation’s 13th Saitama Prefecture Light Music Newcomer Competition Finals, held at ESP Entertainment Tokyo (Takadanobaba), performing their original song, “Heart of Stone.”
This competition was an official competition primarily for second-year students, and 21 bands from 20 schools, including our school, competed in preliminary rounds in each block of the prefecture, battling it out. Each participating band showed the results of their daily practice, and while they were nervous, they enjoyed performing in front of the professional judges, participating students, and parents cheering for each school.
Unfortunately, Rolly Polly did not win an award this time, but by winning the fiercely competitive Western District preliminary round and achieving the feat of competing in the official finals for the first time, they have made new history for our school’s Light Music Club. All the participating members also spoke of their enthusiasm to compose better songs, hone their skills, and aim even higher for the next competition.
We ask for your continued support for the Light Music Club.

The Light Music Club will continue to practice daily for various competitions, performances at domestic and international events, and joint live shows, in pursuit of music that everyone can enjoy.
