On April 2nd , the new 2nd grade band “Fernweh” of the light music club held a concert at Yokohama City Tsuzuki Public Hall, sponsored by the Agency for Cultural Affairs and others.. They participated in the 4th Kanto High School Light Music Contest Finals, sponsored by the School Light Music Club Association and the Kakehashi Arts and Culture Foundation.

This competition is held twice a year, in the spring and summer. A total of 25 bands from high schools in the Kanto region and 7 prefectures that have passed the initial screening participated in the finals. Three bands from Saitama Prefecture were selected as representatives. This will be the second time for our school’s light music club to participate.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although they were nervous about their first big competition, their results show how their practice has paid off and were able to perform to the best of their abilities. Parents and other members of the light music club were also in the audience to support the students. They listened to the other groups and the judges comments. They hope to continue to with their success.
