Science Edge 2026 – International Science Contest, Tsukuba

Biology Club

The Biology Club presented research in both English and Japanese at the “Tsukuba ScienceEdge2026*” (organized by the Tsukuba ScienceEdge2026 Executive Committee), an international science idea contest for junior and senior high school students, held at the Tsukuba International Congress Center from March 27th (Fri) to 28th (Sat).

Our Biology Club presentation was selected for the floor poster presentation. There were 477 presentations in total [8 oral presentations, 8 satellite presentations, 461 booth/floor presentations]). In the evening, we also participated in an international exchange event with junior and senior high school students from many countries, including Taiwan and Mongolia.

Through presentations in English and Japanese, we gained valuable interaction with junior and senior high school students and teachers from Japan and overseas, especialy a large number of friendly and enthusiastic students from all over Taiwan. We intend to utilize these experiences in our research for the new academic year. Thank you very much.

*Note: This was one of the largest presentation events for junior and senior high school students (including overseas) held in Japan (this year saw a record number of participants: 80 schools from 25 prefectures in Japan and 23 schools from 5 countries overseas, with 477 presentations and a total of 2,496 participating students). Furthermore, the application rate for oral presentations (8 presentations) was a record high of 59.6 times, indicating a large number of junior and senior high school students applied.
